ROSE MASON

Rose Francoise Mason (nee Caron), 50, of Fort Frances, Ont., formerly of Atikokan, Ont., passed away unexpectedly, with her family by her side, on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Rose was born March 24, 1964 in Thunder Bay, Ont., the daughter of Annette and Arthur Caron.
Rose had a love of life, family, and friends. She made the most of any situation she was faced with and was able to radiate a sense of optimism to those around her.
She looked forward to spending time with her family and cherished her two young nieces.
Rose enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, demonstrating commendable placing in bowling and swimming. She also loved getting out for, and planning, any event with friends—and she enjoyed it all.
Rose had a big heart, and was certain to acknowledge everyone on their birthday and during each holiday season. Family and friends were Rose’s passion and she ensured each one knew they were loved.
Rose is survived by her mother, Annette Caron; brother, Marc (Kristina); nieces, Ryeli and Maloree; extended family, Yvette, Catherine (Teuvo), Kai, Tiia, Terry, and niece and great-nieces; and friend, Mike Tkachuk.
Rose was predeceased by her father, Arthur.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont.
