It is with great sadness, the family of Peter Fehr announces his passing on February 1, 2026, at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on April 8, 1936, in Hochstadt, Saskatchewan, to Isaac and Anna Fehr (Martens). He was the sixth of twelve children. As a young man he worked with his father on the family farm as well as on local road construction. On December 3, 1961, at the age of 25, Peter was united in marriage to Anna Braun in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. They later relocated to Barwick, Ontario, and raised nine children. They later made the Golden Age Manor their home. As a couple they were inseparable, it was rare in their 56 years of marriage to see them apart. They enjoyed their many outing to local restaurants with family and friends.

Dad was a gentle, loving and kind man who always had time for family, friends and helping others. Over his lifetime he worked at various jobs: construction, farming as well as logging. He enjoyed gardening, quilting with mom, collecting coins, listening to bluegrass and gospel music, as well as spending time tinkering in his workshop creating various crafts for his family. He had a sharp memory and we all enjoyed listening to the many stories he had to tell of days gone by, swimming in the ponds on the hot summer days, fishing and childhood shenanigans. He also enjoyed the various activities and the fun filled coffee breaks with his many friends at the Golden Age Manor.
Peter is survived by his children Stella Durant, Cornelious Fehr, Margaret (James) Rousseau, Susan (Daniel) Pollard, Peter Fehr, Jacob Fehr, Mary Fehr, Elizabeth (Mannie) Etienne, Helen Branconier; his ten grandchildren Katherin (Chris) Olsen, Willian Durant, Corey (Tiffany) Fehr, Hailey (Chris) Seidlitz, Carlee Fehr, James (Megan) Rousseau, David Pollard, Joshua (Kaylie) Pollard, Jessica (Paul) Proulx, Tyler (Alexandra) Fehr; as well as seventeen great-grandchildren; siblings Margaret Derksen, Mary Bodnaruk, Tena Bludoff, Isaac (Sharon) Fehr, Susan Martens, and Betty (Wayne) Herdman.
Peter was predeceased by his wife Anna; his infant son Issac; parents Isaac and Anna Fehr; siblings Anna (Henry) Penner, Cornelious (Anna) Fehr, Justina (William) Derksen, Helena (Ben) Wiebe, and John Fehr.
