Standing Wolf – Gaa-nii-ba-wit-ma-lingan
It is with profound sadness that the family of Natasha Mainville announce her sudden passing on November 4, 2025, at the age of 29 in Fort Frances, Ont.
Natasha was born March 14, 1996, in Fort Frances to Valerie Mainville and Harold Barr.
Natasha was raised and grew up in Atikokan, Ont. She loved figure skating, playing volleyball and basketball and spending time with friends and family.

Natasha graduated Atikokan High School in June 2014. In high school Natasha did Outers in Grade 11. She worked at Quetico Park for three years during high school, a job that allowed her to do what she loved most, being outdoors. She loved nature, canoeing, fishing and camping. She loved animals and never turned down the opportunity to babysit peoples pets and couldn’t wait to grow up to have pets of her own.
After graduation, Natasha immediately went on a trip out west to B.C. She had an adventure. She loved travelling and making memories with the people she loved. She was always great company, there for those who needed and always willing to help. She was the life of the party, the light in the room. She had a smile so vibrant and so beautiful. When she was around, you knew.
Natasha was recently enrolled and taking a course at Seven Generations. She was learning and living by her native culture and traditions and that was where her heart was most happy. She grew up dancing, powwow and recently starting dancing traditional. She like to bead, sew and paint in her spare time.
Most of Natasha’s time and love went to her family. Her partner Harlyn Tuesday and daughters Halo and Christine (Kissy) Tuesday. She loved and cared for the girls like they were her own and was eager and determined to work toward a bright future together. They had a lot of goals, hopes and dreams.
Natasha is survived by her parents Valerie Mainville (Eugene Oshwe) and Harold Barr; siblings Sonya Mainville (James Morisseau) Harley Mainville and Kody Mainville and Ryan Barr; uncle and aunties Glen Barr, Phyllis Barr, and Elaine Barr; nephews Tristin and Anthony Yerxa, Jayvian and Jaylen Morrisseau (nieces) Harmony Yerxa, Ciarra Morrisseau, Serenity Mainville and the Lessard family.
