We are very saddened to announce on Nov. 12, 2014 the passing of our dear brother, uncle, and friend, Melvin Spoon of Fort Frances.
Melvin was born in Atikokan, ON on Oct. 7, 1950.
He is predeceased by his father, William; mother, Selina; and brother, Joe.
Melvin is survived by his brother, Sandy, of Thunder Bay; sisters, Josie, Rita, and Annie of Winnipeg, and Marilyn of Manitou Rapids; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Melvin lived in Fort Frances, working for Arc Industries. He also spent many years working as a fishing guide. He worked for a time for CP Rail.
Melvin enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing with family. He was very active—always riding his bike around, to and from work.
He was a kind and gentle man who would always help out anytime. Everyone always had nice things to say about him.
We will miss this gentle soul. “I will miss you a lot, my little brother”!
