Dear Editor,
It’s almost time to vote, and I’ll be voting for a lessening of anxiety, for the ability to leave the tough decisions to a leader who understands economics and trade and who is committed to keeping Canada safe.
One thing I don’t want in a leader is a Trump-style attack dog who sows division and hatred, who is bent on tearing people down rather than on building them up.
When Mark Carney talks about the economy, about the threats from the US, I feel reassured and hopeful, like I can get back to living my life instead of worrying about whether my beloved country is going to be subsumed by Trump Republicans.
Mark Carney spent his first month as Prime Minister creating economic and defense alliances with other countries. He is breaking down trade barriers between provinces so Canada can achieve true economic independence. He is steady, focused and committed, and he works to keep Canada strong.
In a little over a month, Mark Carney has achieved a tremendous amount of positive change. I am going to vote for him because it’s good change and because I’m excited to see what he’s going to do next.
