The Lavallee Seniors Committee is hosting a luncheon next Tuesday, October 28, at the Devlin Hall. The luncheon starts at noon, homemade soup, bunwitches and dessert will be served.

There will be a Fire Prevention Presentation following the luncheon. Fire Chief Jordan Witzke and Fire Fighter Alyssa Griffith will provide valuable information regarding fire prevention.
This luncheon will be the last Seniors gathering at the Hall until March as renovations begin in November.
The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary Fall Tea and Bazaar will take place this Friday, October 24, at the Emo Legion. Bake tables, craft tables, white elephant table and draws make for a fun filled afternoon. Admission is $5. Monies raised goes to finance hospital projects. The Auxiliary thanks everyone that supports this event.
The Emo Legion will host a Halloween Dance on October 31, with music provided by a CCR band. Music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be the Legion Branch, Tompkins Hardware and Tompkins Outdoors.
Last weeks lucky meat draw winners were Mavis St. Hilaire and Judy Kline. This draw was made at last Friday’s Emo Legion Beer and Burger.
The Sunset County Métis Council invites all current registered Métis Nation of Ontario Citizens to their Annual General Meeting. Come share your ideas so we can better serve our community. This takes place Saturday, October 25, at 714 Armit Ave. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner and meeting at 5:15. Pre-register by calling or texting 271-5537. Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Ron Haver. Ron was a friendly soul, enjoyed going out for coffee and always had a hello for everyone he met. He will be sadly missed by many.
Sympathy to the family and friends of Pat Busch. Pat lives many years in the Devlin area. She loved to knit and many hands have been kept warm from her mittens made. Pat was generous in donating to the Devlin United Church and many Teas and Bazaars.

Ralph Galusha is recovering from surgery that he recently underwent at a Toronto hospital. His many family members and friends send him wishes for a full speedy recovery.
