Sorting waste

hazardous waste

Duane Hicks

Crystal Brown of Miller Environmental Corp. sorted through a box of items dropped off Saturday morning during the Hazardous and Special Waste Day at the Public Works yard here. The event, which gave residents the chance to properly dispose of hazardous waste, was even more popular than last year, drawing 297 vehicles throughout the day–with some starting to line up as early as 8 a.m. A waste day for Chapple and Rainy River District communities will be held this Saturday (Sept. 22) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Chapple municipal garage (54 Barwick Rd.)
