If Thunder Bay resident Denis DeGagne has plans for the property he owns along McIrvine Road between the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market and the Union Gas warehouse, he’s not revealing them.
The land recently was cleared of brush by a local contractor, sparking rumours that Wal-Mart or a “super” grocery store was being built there.
There’s also been talk of a family restaurant chain going up.
But DeGagne is neither confirming nor denying such reports.
“We can’t make any reports on that at this time and we’ll just have to leave it at that,” he said yesterday morning from Thunder Bay.
“The property is cleared and we’re taking it just one step at a time [and] if in the future something happens, we’ll let you know,” he added.
