Emo cleans up after storm

With high winds continuing through last Tuesday evening, damage in the Village of Emo was contained to trees uprooted.
A tree next to the property of E. Hakkawainew was flattened but could not be removed on account of it being tangled up with a hydro pole.
A Hydro crew was required to investigate to ascertain the tree could be removed before any further damage was sustained.
The next day, the municipal crew was out cleaning up the village, removing fallen branches and broken trees. Staff from the Emo Research Station helped out.
By Wednesday noon, everything was in tip-top shape again, with the exception of a few flooded basements coming from the ferocious high winds and heavy downpour.
