Dear Mr. Behan:
Often, the relationship between schools and their neighbours is less than cordial. This is not the case at St. Michael’s School.
We are blessed with many wonderful and thoughtful neighbours. These special people spent many hours this winter gathering materials for rink boards, and building, flooding, and shovelling the large rink on the grounds of St. Michael’s School.
Thanks to the efforts of Walter Horban and some willing volunteers, the students of our school and the neighbourhood kids had an excellent rink on which to skate this winter.
On behalf of St. Michael’s School community, I wish to commend Walter and his associates for their community spirit and their concern for our young people. It is acts of kindness such as those that make Fort Frances such a wonderful place to raise a family.
Sincerely,
H.W. Huntley
Principal
