Happenings are coming up!

Happy to say there are happenings starting to take place in our area. Hopefully this is a sign that things are resuming to normal. Which has been a long time coming.

The Rainy River Valley Agriculture Fair is hoping to take place August 20 and 21. Although there will be no midway, organizers are planning to make it an enjoyable event.

The Rainy River Valley Agriculture Society is looking for fair queen to represent the 2021 Fair. Contestants must be in grade 9-12. Call Mary at 271-1586 or Sis at 276-2483

Another happening in our area is the annual Nevin Bonot Memorial Golf Tournament, this takes place July 17th at Heron Landing Golf Course. Please call Glen Kellar to register or for more information. The number for Heron Landing is 274-5678.

Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Maxine Elliot. She will be sadly missed by many. Maxine always had a big smile , twinkle in her eyes and always had time to ask you how are you doing ?

A Covid friendly bridal shower was held for Danielle Stamarski on Sunday June 27th. A small group of bridesmaids and family enjoyed an afternoon wishing Danielle all the best for her Upcoming wedding to Cole Quesnel on Aug 21st.

Danielle is the daughter of Becky Chabot and Dale Stimarski. Cole’s parents are Leeann and Luc Quesnel.

Here’s hoping everyone enjoys Canada Day on July 1. Even though we’re not completely back to normal, things are getting better. And that’s a reason to celebrate!!!
