‘Sunrise Service’ slated for April 21

“God’s Great Outdoors” would like to invite everyone to the third-annual “Community Sunrise Service” on Easter Sunday, April 21 at 7 a.m. on Front Street in Emo.
A complimentary breakfast will follow at 7:45 a.m. at the Emo Legion sponsored by local businesses.
In case of inclement weather, service will be held at the Legion.

The Catholic Women’s League is hosting its annual “Mother’s Day Spring Tea & Bake Sale” on Saturday, May 11 at St. Patrick’s Church in Emo from 1-3 p.m. The cost of admission is only $5 at the door. There will be baking, draws and crafts and plants for sale. Everyone is welcome!

The Emo and District Lions will be in the arena on Friday and Saturday of “Spring Fever Days.”
They will be selling raffle tickets on a year’s worth of groceries from Cloverleaf Store in Emo. That’s $100 worth of food every week for 52 weeks. Second prize will be $500 in food coupons, while third prize will be a $100 coupon.
The Lions will also be holding an eye screening for young children (kindergarten and Grade 1).
There will also be a table at which you can sign up to take your dog on the Guide Dogs of Canada annual walk around Emo.
The Emo and District Lions are also looking for new members and will gladly sign you up if you are interested in joining the largest volunteer organization in the world.

The Lions Legacy Golf Tournament, presented by the Fort Frances Lions Club and the Fort Frances Voyageurs Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, June 22 starting at 10 a.m. at the Heron Landing (Couchiching). The cost is $100 each or $400/team, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and supper.
Entries limited to the first 36 paid teams, with the registration deadline being June 6.
Proceeds to the homelessness program and the women’s shelter program.
