Student jobs available in Emo township

Attention students! the Township of Emo will be hiring summer students (ages 15 to 30) who will be returning to school in the fall.
They are looking for people to fill the positions of Recreation Program Assistant/Coordinator and Labourer of Parks Department.
Applications in the form of a resume will be received until 3 p.m. local time, on Monday, May 13.
Inquiries concerning these positions may be made at the Emo municipal office.

The “Spring in Hawaii Gala” will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Emo Arena.
Social hour 5:30 p.m., Hawaiian meal at 6:30 p.m. There will be live entertainment, a penny table, a silent auction, a cake roulette, games and prizes. Tickets cost $50 each (with a $25 charitable receipt). Tickets available from Emo Fair board directors.
Come out for a great evening and support the Emo Fair board has it carries out plans to improve the fairgrounds.

A spring tea and bake sale will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at Church of the Holy Spirit (824 Victoria Ave.).
Admission by donation to their mission and outreach projects. Come and bring friends!

You are invited to attend a Mother’s Day tea and bake sale at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall on Saturday, May 11 from 1-3 p.m.
There will be baking, draws, crafts and plants for sale. Admission is only $5. Everyone is welcome to attend.
This event is sponsored by St Patrick’s Catholic Women’s League.

A Mother’s Day market also will be held on Sunday, May 12 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Kay-Nah-Chi-Wha-Nung (Manitou Mounds) Historical Centre.

The Lions Legacy Golf Tournament, presented by the Fort Frances Lions Club and the Fort Frances Voyageurs Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, June 22 starting at 10 a.m. at the Heron Landing (Couchiching).
The cost is $100 each or $400/team, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and supper. Entries limited to the first 36 paid teams, with the registration deadline being June 6.
Proceeds to the homelessness program and the women’s shelter program.
