‘Strawberry Social’ slated for June 14

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary cordially invites you to attend their annual “Strawberry Social” which will be held in the Emo Hospital Cafeteria.
They will be serving strawberry shortcake, tea and coffee on Friday, June 14 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Admission to this event is $5 at the door. Funds raised will go to Auxiliary projects within the hospital.
The members would like to thank the community and surrounding district for their continued support of the Emo Hospital.

The Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 is hosting a night of musical entertainment and dancing.
Pat Porter, who performs at the Border Bar in International Falls will be performing from 7-11 p.m. on June 7.
Admission to the evening is $5. Be make sure to mark the date on your calendar and plan on attending.
This is one concert and dance you don’t want to miss.

To assist with the upkeep of the Emo Spray Park, the municipality has personalized memorial bricks for placement in the splash pad surrounding the spray park for only $100 each.

To all pet owners in Emo: There have been several complaints about dogs and cats running at large.
Please ensure your animals are kept with your property limits at all times.
All dogs and cats must be on a leash when leaving your premises.

In related news, anyone owning or caring for dog(s) for any length of time within the municipality must obtain a dog tag on an annual basis, for each dog.
Tags are available at the Emo municipal office for a fee of $10 per dog.

Also a reminder that pets are not permitted in any of the parks in town. This includes the Lion’s Park and spray park, Westend Park/west boat launch and the Emo Sportsfield.
If walking through any of these areas please remain on the sidewalk. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

The Emo Speedway needs volunteers for the June 15 racing weekend.
The jobs are as follows: spotters, one person with first-aid for ambulance, pit canteen, one for 50/50, apparel sales, tow truck, and helper in main canteen.
