Stompin’ Tom tribute coming up

There will be a tribute to the legendary icon Stompin’ Tom on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Emo Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99.
His son, Stompin, Taw Connors, will perform beginning at 7 p.m.
Caw performances earlier in the year to a sold out show, those attending were not disappointed.
Tickets are still available for this show.
They are $30 in advance $35 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Legion from 3-6 p.m. daily or at Tompkins Hardware.
The Legion is located at 123 Jessie St. in Emo for information call 482-2250.

The Emo and District Lions Club will host a “Hunters’ Dinner” on Nov. 9 at the Barwick Hall.
Wild meat and fish and all the fixings make up the menu. The cost of the meal is $20.
There will be a penny table, live auction and a 50/50 draw.
Happy hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available from all Lions members, local businesses or by calling Kent at 276-1946 or Joanne at 271-0941.
Proceeds from the evening will help fund projects in the district.

A reminder that beer and burger are sold every Friday night at the Emo Legion for the great price of $5.

Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at the Emo Legion, doors open at 6 p.m.
The early bird game is played at 6:30 p.m.
Cribbage is played Wednesday night at the Emo Legion from 7-9 p.m.
The cost is $5 and includes a light lunch.
