Northern Ontario U-18 curling championship went off successfully last weekend despite some late arrivals due to the weather in Thunder Bay. Champions were Team Dallas Burgess from Kakabeka Falls for the boys and Team Mia Toner from Sudbury. As the top two teams will go on to the U-18 provincials, Team Brendan Rajala from Sudbury and Team Britney Malette from Kakabeka Falls will also play in Oakeville. There were two teams from Fort Frances in the event. Team Grace George finished with a record of two wins and three losses, while the young Aili Chabot team didn’t win a game but had a good learning experience.
