This week we sat down with driver of the #21 Wissota Modified, Matt DePiero.

What is your favourite race track food? Hibbing Raceway Chilli.

At what age did you start racing? 16

Why did you start racing? Racing was always a part of my family and my life growing up. From watching Dwayne Phiulak (why I run the #21) to helping the Gamsby brothers I always wanted to one day race myself. Growing up I always asked for a dirt bike and dad as always said no. I asked once for a race car and he said yes and the rest is history.

What advice would you give to someone who would like to start racing? It isn’t as easy and fun as it looks on TV or from the stands. It takes a lot of good support, patience, and hard work! But it’s the most fun you can have with your pants on!

What is your favourite part about racing? The quality time spent with my dad.
