It’s been a difficult process, marred by delays, concrete woes and a disruptive lightning strike. But the Rainy River Cattleman’s Association was able to celebrate how far it has come in the construction of its new cattle barn, with the first sale in the facility. Nearly $1.8 million worth of cattle was auctioned, thanks to a team of volunteers and workers. The bright new facility was designed with cattle comfort in mind, with a new watering system, and concrete floors, to keep the animals out of the mud. Work continues to complete the facility. If you are able to lend a hand, reach out to the Association.
