Hazardous waste day

Town of Fort Frances operations and facilities manager Travis Rob, left, manned one of the drop-off tables at the Public Works building on Saturday afternoon during the town's Municipal Hazardous and Special Waste day. Town crews and employees from Miller Waste out of Manitoba handled and safely packaged up various waste products from homes across town, including plenty of paint, stains, oils and batteries. Rob said the event saw 235 vehicles stop by the yard with waste products. The town will receive a report from Miller Waste detailing the volume and breakdown of disposed products later this year.
