Food to go

Staff at the United Native Friendship Centre's Circle of Life building on Mowat Ave. were hard at work putting together roughly 250 take out-ready bags of fresh groceries and produce for those who wanted them on Thursday morning. The fresh, healthy food-to-go aimed to fill in the gaps for people who might be struggling due to loss of a job or finances during the pandemic, or those who just needed a bit more healthy food in their diets. Among the items included were pasta, celery, lettuce, fruit, ground beef, eggs and butter. – Ken Kellar photo
