As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Riverside Health Care and the Riverside Foundation for Health Care have been overwhelmed by messages of thanks and support from our community.
Together we wish to thank the many individuals, businesses and organizations who have come forward to offer their help and support in various ways. The kindness is appreciated and can enhance our efforts to protect the health and safety of our patients, residents, clients, staff and physicians.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has already showed support. We are always amazed by how generous and kind our community is in times of need,” said Foundation Director Allison Cox.
As the situation is evolving rapidly, so will our response. To ensure community efforts are focused where they are most needed at this critical time, the Foundation will now be coordinating all gift-in-kind support, donations of unopened medical-grade Personalized Protective Equipment (PPE), COVID-19 related medical supplies and equipment, and other goods and services. If you want to donate in-kind items to a Riverside facility and their staff please email allison.cox@rhcf.on.ca or call 807-274-4803 to coordinate donations.
“As we move forward, we ask the public to direct all donations to the Foundation and not bring items directly to our facilities, as we are trying to limit the number of non-essential people on our sites to minimize traffic and adhere to social distancing efforts,” added Communications Coordinator Kathryn Pierroz.
Anyone who wants to financially contribute in support of efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic is encouraged to make a donation to the Riverside Foundation for Health Care in support of critical investments in equipment, technology and urgent priorities to help patients, residents, clients and staff directly affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
This fund will give Riverside the ability to address changing circumstances and priorities, and support our front line efforts as we continue to provide quality care across our facilities and in the community.
