The Rainy River Figure Skating Club was busy rehearsing on Sunday, March 1 for their upcoming Blades on Broadway shows Saturday March 7 at 6 p.m. and Sunday March 8 at 2 p.m.

There are about 40 young people in this year's spectacular from Rainy River and neighbouring communities.

The hustle and bustle at the Rainy River Arena located on Broadway Ave, of course, was hectic. Skaters finding lost bits of equipment; new costumes being tried on; new decorations going up; busy parents frantically organizing the stars.

It was a little like trying to herd cats.

But everything is coming together and nerves were being calmed as the popcorn popper and the wiener roaster at the canteen were worked to capacity.
