View transit of Venus

This transit of Venus is a once-in-a-lifetime solar event.
The next time a transit happens will be in the year 2117.
Using a solar telescope or appropriate eye wear, a “Dark” Ranger will guide you in the proper viewing of the sun.
Come and witness Venus crossing the sun’s surface on Tuesday, June 5 from 5-8 p.m. at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center east of International Falls.
Those interested can come for the entire program or just stop by.
This program is weather permitting. To find out if the program is being held, call the Rainy Lake Visitor Center (1-218-286-5258) before 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
No fee or registration is required to attend, and it is recommended for ages 10 and up.
Remember to never look directly at the sun.
