Riverside August 50/50 winner announced

Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the August Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Justin Hagen of Emo, ON with the winning ticket number K-2019504. Hagen takes home $16,102, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Tuesday, August 31 at 11 a.m. in the Foundation Office.

Hagen, who was not available to answer his phone, discovered he was the winner when checking his ticket numbers against the winning number sent out via email. After checking, and checking again, he called in to the Foundation office to confirm that he has $16,000 and change more than he did yesterday.

All proceeds from the monthly 50/50 raffles will be supporting the $1.5 million dollar capital campaign, ‘Picture This’ for new diagnostic imaging equipment. Tickets for the September raffle are now on sale at www.riversidefoundation.ca/5050 at a cost of 5 for $5, 20 for $10 or our best deal, 100 for $20. If you prefer to purchase offline, please call the Foundation Office at 274-4803 to make arrangements.

A $500 early bird draw sponsored by West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance will take place Friday, September 17 at 11 a.m. Ticket sales for the jackpot close Wednesday, September 29 at 9 p.m. with the draw taking place Thursday, September 30 at 11 a.m.

In other Foundation news, the DI Dash is taking place on Sunday, September 12 across the Rainy River District to kick off the ‘Picture This’ campaign. The day will begin with a pancake breakfast at the Rainy River Legion Hall and continue on to the Emo Health Centre for a community luncheon. Starting at noon, the DI Dash will see participants relay from the Emo Health Centre to LVGH to finish the day off with a community BBQ. Everyone is welcome to attend!
