The Kenora OPP wish to invite everyone to attend their annual open house, which will be held this year at the Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls OPP detachment.
The open house will be held this Saturday (July 13) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The detachment is located on Highway 71 just before Sioux Narrows.
The OPP is excited and proud of its policing traditions within the Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls community. We want to take the opportunity to invite everyone to come in and see what we do, and how we do it, in a fun-filled and relaxed atmosphere.
Booths and displays set up at the Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls OPP detachment will provide insight and information into the diverse resources the OPP provide for the community.
Some of the displays will include the explosive disposal unit, the Emergency Response Team, and motorocycle, mountain bike, and marine units.
The OPP seatbelt convincer and the “fatal vision” goggles also will be available for everyone to try out.
Other organizations, including Crime Stoppers and the Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls Volunteer Fire Department, will be in attendance. The fire department will hold a charity barbecue in conjunction with the open house.
Come tour the detachment, check out the displays, meet some of your local OPP officers, and expect a fun-filled and light-hearted day for the whole family.
