There will be an evening of old-time country music at the Barwick Hall on Friday, July 26 starting at 7 p.m.
If you like to listen or dance then you’re welcome to come out for a great evening.
Admission is $5 and includes some free refreshments.

The Emo and District Lions are looking for volunteers from the community to help with the site preparation and installation of the new playground equipment at the ball diamond in Devlin.
If you can lend a hand, or bring some equipment please email the Lions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The equipment is scheduled to arrive the week of Aug. 12 so the area will have to be prepared well before that date.
Help the Lions build a fantastic accessible playground for all the children of the district.

Another pick-up day for Diabetes Clothesline program in Emo is scheduled for August.
If you would like to donated clothing or household items, please call, 1-800-505-5525 or 623-0887.
Information about the pick-up day and time will be available when you phone.
Simply put your clothing in a bag or your items in a box, mark it with a “D” and put it outside for pick-up on the appointed day.
Your support will help those with diabetes, aid in a search for a cure, and/or send a child with Type 1 to a D-Camp in Northwestern Ontario.

Recycle your cans at the arena. Please help the arena in Emo raise funds by dropping of your aluminum cans (pop cans, beer cans etc.) in the bin near the main entrance of the arena.
All proceeds will go towards arena projects. The committee thanks you in advance for your continued support.

A reminder from the township that the Emo landfill will be open during the following hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please bring your red landfill site card with you when you drop of garbage.
You will not be permitted to use the Emo landfill site without your card.
The landfill accepts tires, scrap metal and electronics.
Garbage pick-up is on Fridays.
Please have your bags on the curb or beside the road by 8 a.m.
There is a maximum limit of two bags per household.
