‘Hunter’s Dinner’ tickets available

The Emo and District Lions will once again be hosting their “Hunter’s Dinner” on Nov. 9, 2019 in Barwick at the Barwick Hall.
The cost of the wild meat and fish dinner is only $20. There will a penny table, a live auction, a 50/50 draw, a gun raffle and “Dicey Desserts.”
Happy hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available from all Lions members, local businesses or by calling Kent at 276-1946 or Joanne at 271-0941.
Proceeds from the evening will help fund projects in the district.

The Township of Emo has three employment opportunities for those interested.
Application in the form of a resume will be received at the municipal office until 3 p.m. local time on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019.
The following are the employment opportunities: arena/cemetery-parks manager (full-time position), landfill site attendant (part-time position) and crosswalk guard (part-time position).

The winter hours of the Emo landfill site, effective Oct. 1, are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The 908 Rainy Lake Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron is looking for new members.
They meet Monday nights now through June 11, 2020 in the arena auditorium. Ages 12-18 welcome.
Registration is ongoing through the year.

The Township of Emo has several items for sale (by sealed bid).
The items are: a 6 ft. Erskine Showblower, model 720 FM (front mount) to fit John Deere 5200 Tractor, a 5 ft. Erksine broom (front mount) to fit a John Deere 5200 tractor, and a 1073 Wayne street sweeper.
