Positive case reported at Devlin’s Crossroads School

Press release

The Rainy River District School Board has received notification of a positive student case of COVID-19 associated with Crossroads School in Devlin on Sunday. All close contacts of the case are being called and given instructions by Northwestern Health Unit. We are working with NWHU to make sure all potential risks are minimized, including closing two classrooms. All other classes remain open at this time.

Families of students in the closed classrooms have been notified directly. Any fully vaccinated students in those classes are able to return to school, provided they have no symptoms. Devices will be made available to students within these classrooms.

For reasons of privacy, the NWHU will minimize sharing personal information about any case and encourage others to avoid identifying individuals.

All students are reminded to use the Government of Ontario’s school screening tool daily before attending school. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
