Home intruder nabbed

On Thursday shortly before 6:30 p.m., members of the Kenora OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call of an unknown male intruder in a residence in the Rideout area of Kenora.
Police attended and were advised the home owner had arrived home and found the door to the residence had been forced open and the suspect was inside.
When confronted by the home owner, the male fled the scene.
The suspect was located immediately by police and found to be in possession of items stolen from the residence, including electronics and alcohol.
He was arrested at the scene.
As a result of this investigation, a 24-year-old Kenora man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, obstructing a peace office, resisting a peace officer, and break/enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He also was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
