Happy Halloween!

All the good little boils and ghouls were out and about on Halloween night, making the most of the chilly fall weather. Scores of trick-or-treaters descended upon the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre for the Trunk-or-Treat festivities that took place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Individuals, businesses and organizations set up decorated trunks full of sweet treats and spooky surprises.

Meanwhile, Binesiwag Centre for Wellness (BCW) hosted an old fashioned Halloween carnival on Saturday at their property in Couchiching First Nation. They had 200 people register in advance for the event, which
featured sack races, a ring toss, mini putt game and lots of other fun including popcorn and candy.

Little monsters were out in full force at Rainy River doorsteps as well. “Polite, adorable and saving my diabetic soul by liberating all my hoard of Hallowe’en candy in short order. Spooktacular!” said Rainy River correspondent Jack Elliott.
