Devlin, ON – Last week, the Emergency Control Group of the Corporation of the Township of La Vallee has declared an emergency to the Province of Ontario due to Public Health Concerns.
We are actively monitoring the situation and are meeting as needed to take all actions necessary to protect the health and welfare of our residents and the general public. We will continue to take action to prepare our community for the fight against COVID-19. This is why we have declared an emergency; to ensure that we continue to be proactive by having the necessary resources to combat COVID-19.
“We would like to remind the community to continue to follow all recommendations from our local public health officials,” said the press release.
Contact the Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) at 1-807-468-7109 or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 to receive assistance if you are concerned you may have COVID-19. Further information, and the self-assessment tool can be found at the NWHU (www.nwhu.on.ca) and Ministry of Long-Term Care (www.health.gov.on.ca) websites.
The ECG will continue to meet to ensure the community is safe.
