On Thursday (March 7), the La Vallee fire department responded to a blaze at a residence in the township.
The fire stations in Emo and Alberton also responded after a third automatic alarm.
Upon arrival, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, all of the occupants were out.
An exterior fire attack operation was initiated and the blaze was brought under control quickly.
The Rainy River District Paramedic Service was on location for the safety of responders while the OPP and Hydro One staff also provided assistance.
The residence was being remodelled by Jake Rea, who was planning on moving into it.
Thanks to all the responders who help to make our community a safer place.
