From the Superior International Hockey League
Press release
The Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) has officially partnered with GameStrat to bring a league-wide in-game replay system to all arenas, enhancing officiating accuracy and supporting competitive integrity across the board.
As part of the partnership, all seven SIJHL arenas will be outfitted with GameStrat Replay — a multi-angle, offline video review system tailored specifically for use by officials and coaches during live gameplay. Each setup includes three synchronized camera angles (overhead and both goal lines), fast frame-by-frame navigation, video annotation tools, and a bench-side iPad flagging system.
With GameStrat’s secure, offline network and local video storage, officials will have dependable access to instant replays, even in low-connectivity rinks.
This marks a major step forward for the SIJHL in modernizing its officiating tools and creating a more professional and transparent game experience. The rollout will take place ahead of the 2025–26 season and includes full installation and live training sessions to ensure officials and team staff are fully prepared.
In addition to the league’s referee replay system, each SIJHL team will have the ability to utilize GameStrat’s Replay & Coding platform. This add-on gives SIJHL member teams their own independent replay and tagging system, enabling real-time play coding, custom cut-ups, post-game video editing, and player ice time tracking — tools already used by top junior leagues across North America.
With this new partnership, the SIJHL continues to prioritize innovation and elevate the quality of play across the league. This implementation also sets the stage for potential future expansion into the broader CJHL landscape, as the league leads by example in the utilization of officiating and review technology.
