Complaint leads to impairment charge

(EMO, ON) On August 9 at 8:44 a.m., officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an impaired driver in the parking lot of the Cloverleaf Grocery in Emo. Officers located the described vehicle and spoke to the male driver. The driver was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance. The driver was transported to the Fort Frances Detachment for testing. As a result, a 42-year-old Fort Frances man has been charged with: Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Drug or Alcohol and Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). He was released to appear in court in Fort Frances on September 21, to answer to the charges.
