The Muskie girls’ hockey team will host the Dryden Eagles in NorWOSSA action today (Dec. 8) at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena. Admission is free if you bring along a teddy bear for the Salvation Army/B•93 “Teddy Bear Toss” or a non-perishable item for the local food bank.
A teen dance will be held today (Dec. 8) from 9 p.m.-midnight at “The Dungeon” (in the basement of the Backus Community Center in International Falls). Admission is $5 (Cdn.)
The first of four presentations of “Glorious Christmas,” featuring Diane Maxey’s Choraliers and the Borderland Community Orchestra, will be held Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Donald Young School in Emo. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children under 12. The Pairs ’n Squares will hold a square dance, featuring Jim Kooyer as the caller, on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Robert Moore School gym. A workshop will be held first from 3-5 p.m., followed by a potluck supper at 5:15 p.m. Visitors and spectators always welcome.
Tickets for the M.E.C. New Year’s Eve party at the local Legion will be available until Saturday, Dec. 9 for members, and then open to guests after that until Dec. 22. They are available from Giselle at Fort Frances General Supply or Wilf at the training centre.
Kitchen Creek Golf Club will hold its annual meeting Sunday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Kitchen Creek. The agenda will include the 2006 financial report, 2007 membership fees, and election of directors. All members are urged to attend.
