Kiwanis is a 107-year-old organization with clubs in almost 90 nations and territories around the world. Our main focus is children because we know that happy, healthy children are an important part of creating stronger communities. We believe in having fun while doing good. Kiwanis members can make good things happen while working with their neighbours and community partners. If you want to make a positive impact in the community, then you might choose to join our local Kiwanis club. Our members want to make our community better and are willing to contribute their time and talent. The best way to invest in our future is to invest in our youth.

Every club chooses its own service activities, where to spend its money, and with whom to partner. When clubs raise money from the community, it’s to support club service activities. Members do pay annual dues to Kiwanis International to cover the club’s administration expenses, a magazine subscription and liability insurance for the member and the club. We are always looking for new members who are community-minded and enjoy volunteering.

We would love to have you come out to a meeting or volunteer at a Kiwanis service project. That’s the best way to get a real taste of the service, camaraderie and community impact that Kiwanis is all about. The three main projects that the Fort Frances club is involved with are: the Christmas Parade, Trunk or Treat, and the Easter Egg-stravaganza. We always welcome new ideas!

If you are interested in learning more about our club or have any questions, feel free to contact me, Diane Maxey, at 807-275-9308 or McKenna Begin, our local president, at 807-276-7837.
