Ross McDonald, 52, of King Street, Emo, Ont., passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998 in Emo.
Ross was born Jan. 12, 1946 in Emo to Willard and Ruby McDonald. He lived all of his life in Emo, and on May 11, 1968, was united in marriage to the former Marilynn Jack.
Ross worked at Tompkins Hardware in Emo for 26 years from 1967 until 1993. He loved sports, including hockey, curling, baseball, and pool. Ross also loved spending time with his family at their cabin on Clearwater Lake.
He was predeceased by his father, Willard McDonald; and mother-in-law, Jean Jack.
Ross is survived by his wife, Marilyn McDonald of Emo, Ont.; and two sons, Wade McDonald of Winnipeg, Man., and Shane McDonald and wife, Pam, and grandson, Mathew, of Atikokan, Ont.
He also is survived by his mother, Ruby McDonald of Emo, Ont.; one brother, Bob McDonald of Winnipeg, Man.; two brothers-in-law, Larry Jack and wife, Maureen, and Melvin Jack and wife, Susan, all of Emo, Ont.; two nieces, Jodi and Cara Jack; and four nephews, Chad Jack, of Emo, Ont., Clinton Jack of Orillia, Ont., and Rodney Jack and wife, Carla, and Darcy Jack, all of Emo, Ont.
Cremation has taken place at Ross’ request.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
