Sad day

Dear editor:
In response to the front page photo in the Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 edition of the F.F. Times.
It is a sad day in the life of a community when one of the largest pictures on the front page is that of zombies spattered in blood.
What are we saying to the rest of the community? Is everyone for this kind of “celebration”?
I, for one, am deeply disturbed. Are we really happy—even excited—to promote a culture of death and dying?
I find it extremely sad, in light of the recent news of the ISIS atrocities and Ebola crises, that our community would find this entertaining!
There are too many people that already struggle with serious issues, such as depression and suicide.
What is even more disturbing is that after the event, “everyone headed over to the church for refreshments.” As if that somehow makes it “friendly and OK.”
