Own up to mistake

Dear editor:
I am responding to last week’s letter written by Mark Loney of Cloverleaf in Emo.
Why should they be responsible for a government cheque that was processed twice? Is the government not responsible for its own mistakes? If I was to have written a cheque and it bounced, it would be up to me to clear it up.
When will the government learn that it is time to take responsibility and quit blaming everyone else for their mistakes. It makes you wonder why people come up with some crazy ideas when you have a government like we do.
The person who cashed that cheque also should be very ashamed of themselves. Shame on you. You should have known better.
I think the government should, for once, stand up and finally take responsibility for their mistake.
