Not the case

Dear editor:
As a snowplow driver, I would like to express my concerns over some drivers lack of understanding of a left-hand turn signal on a plow truck.
There seems to be a misunderstanding that a left-hand signal means to pass a snowplow. This is not the case!
Last Wednesday, after cleaning up some drifting just west of Devlin, I signalled left to go up Highway 613 North. Eight cars proceeded to pass me on a corner with solid double centre lines and an intersection with another highway.
This could have been a disaster and it’s happened to me many times before.
The ONLY reason we use our left signal is to turn left. Please keep this in mind.
Thank you,
Brian Gregory
