Letter to the Editor

M. Macklem

Dear editor,
On reading my issues of the Fort Frances Times, I’ve read with interest the idea of building a hotel on the site of the former Shevlin Woodyard.
It seems to me that Fort Frances has plenty of accommodation, with all the building additions and renovations that have been done in the industry lately.
Where has the idea of an “Assisted Living” building for seniors gone? Many senior citizens who have paid taxes for many years have been requesting this building for years.
Wouldn’t these taxpayers love to spend their retirement years in an assisted living complex on beautiful Rainy Lake. I think they deserve this!!
Sincerely,
M. Macklem
