Holly Daze almost here!

Holly Daze is almost here, the sun fun filled weekend takes place December 3 and 4.

The parade is Friday night at 6 p.m. The annual tree lighting ceremony takes place after the parade. Fireworks also follow the parade. This takes place on the riverbank. The fireworks are co-sponsored by New Gold Inc, the Township of Emo and the Emo Chamber of Commerce.

As always, cookies and hot chocolate will be available throughout the parade.

There will be no collection of groceries for the food bank along the parade route. Instead there will collection boxes with the Emo Rec Council hot chocolate stand on Front Street, and outside the Hair & Body Care Shoppe the night of the parade. The Hair & Body Care Shoppe will have boxes inside their shop for drop offs of items until Christmas.

As always, Crafts Galore takes place at the Emo Legion both Friday and Saturday of Holly Daze, with soup and sandwiches being served.

There will be a Christmas Shopping Event at Misty River Alternatives. This takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

The draws for two $250.00 Emo Chamber Bucks draw takes place on Saturday, Dec. 4 at The Hair and Body Shop at 3 p.m.

The Emo Legion will hold a 50/50 draw on December 17th. Tictcsn be purchased at the Legion and executive members.

The Township is LaVallee will be hosting a Community Christmas Fun Day. This takes place December 18th 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at the Crossroads Rink.

Skate with Santa , warm up with hot chocolate and a fire. Weather permitting. Check out Facebook page for updates.

A lady had twelve kids before she figured it out what was causing it and bought a hearing aid. Why a hearing aid? She replied, “Cos every night Grandpa and I would get into bed and he’d say, ‘are we going to sleep or what?’ And I’d say, ‘WHAT?’”
