Some ‘Chest’ tickets still left

There’s still some tickets left for the Fort Frances Community Chest fundraiser dinner set for this Sunday (Feb. 23) at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Joelle Paull, who’s helping organize the event, said tickets will be sold at the Rendez-Vous until tomorrow morning.

They cannot be purchased the day of the dinner.
Tickets cost $35 each or $280 for a table of eight.
Cocktails are at 5 p.m., with dinner at 5:30.
Other than that, Paull said everything“ is ready to go” for Sunday.
In addition to the meal, the event will include several testimonials by local residents who have been aided by the “Community Chest” in the past.
It also will feature a live auction, with items donated by local businesses and individuals.
Tess Coish of Tess’ Kitchen will have cookies on the tables, which dinner-goers can take home if they make a donation.
The purpose of the “Community Chest” is to provide financial aid to local families who may need help to cover medical costs.
One hundred percent of funds raised stay local, helping people from Mine Centre to Rainy River.
The “Community Chest” distributes about $70,000 a year to help people in medical emergencies, and the benefit dinner is the main means to replenish its coffers.
