Muskies held to one win

Three out of four isn’t bad—unless you’re on the wrong end of the three.
The Muskie court teams opened their NorWOSSA regular-season action Tuesday in Dryden but only the junior boys’ basketball squad returned home with a win.

Matt Swing and Jacob Empey each netted eight points to help Fort High double the Eagles 46-23.
The senior hoopsters, meanwhile, were routed 73-46 by Dryden.
Cole Edwards topped the Muskie with 17 points.
In girls’ volleyball action, the dreams of the junior and senior squads of repeating their undefeated seasons during the fall basketball season quickly were dashed.
The seniors won the first set 25-18, but then dropped the next three by scores of 25-21, 25-21, and 25-15.
The juniors didn’t even get that far as they were swept 25-20, 25-15, and 25-21 by the Eagles.
The junior spikers return to Dryden for a tournament beginning tomorrow.
Then all four Muskie teams are back in NorWOSSA action this Tuesday (Dec. 17) when the Eagles visit Fort High.
Play begins at noon.
