Candlelight vigil

Candlelight vigil

Charmaine Langlais of the Sunset Country Métis lit a candle during the annual service marking the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Friday evening at the Knox United Church while Rose Tuesday looked on. The candlelight vigil honoured the 14 women killed 24 years ago in what has become known as the “Montreal Massacre,” as well as local women who have lost their lives at the hands of gender violence.
