Men’s hoops starts

The Fort Frances Men’s Basketball League opened its new season last night with some high-scoring theatrics by a trio of round-ballers, including a talented brother act.
Jacob McIntosh had a game-high 47 points for Taggs but younger brother, Caleb, had 42 of his own—and a bit better of a supporting cast—to help the Muskies win 68-64.

Meanwhile, defending champion La Place Rendez-Vous began its title defence with an identical 68-64 victory over Boston Pizza.
Josh Mastin netted a game-high 39 points to lead the Vous while Jeremy Strain paced BP with 18.
Action resumes next Monday at Fort High with the Muskies facing Boston Pizza at 6:45 p.m.
Taggs then will take on La Place Rendez-Vous at 8 p.m.
