Historic agreement

Historic agreement

Bill Leonard, executive director of Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services, and Laurie Rose, executive director of Weechi-it-te-win Family Services, shook hands this morning at La Place Rendez-Vous while their respective board chairs Bob McGreevy, left, and Garry Windigo looked on. The two agencies later signed an historic agreement that will allow WFS to provide child-welfare services to all band members living off their First Nations’ communities within the Rainy River and Kenora districts.
