Council to be given assisted living update

The Assisted Living Action Group (A.L.A.G.) will give town council an update on its activities at Monday night’s council meeting.
A.L.A.G. vice-chair June Caul and Rainycrest administrator Darryl Galusha will brief council on where A.L.A.G.’s strategic plan is at, and the steps it is planning to move forward.

The presentation is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m.
Since 2012, the A.L.A.G. core planning team has spent considerable time gathering input from district seniors in regards to their needs.
It continues to be very active with research and planning activities that help to move the Rainy River Valley (RRV) Assisted Living Housing Initiative forward.
Its goal is to build for seniors an attractive, not-for-profit, fully-secured, free-standing assisted living facility in the district.
