Alliance atop spike league

A four-point night helped Alliance move into first place by itself after Week 11 in the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League last Thursday.
By The Balls managed only three points to sit one behind Alliance in second with 44.

Gillons’ Cougars also garnered three points to stay one behind By The Balls in third (43).
Scared Hitless, meanwhile, had a five-point night— its best total since Week 6—to jump into fourth place with 40 points.
The squad also still holds two matches in hand on the teams ahead of it.
Kiss My Pass dropped to fifth (38 points) after having to cancel both its matches last Thursday.
Notorious D.I.G. eked out just a single point to remain in sixth place (33) while defending champion Dig This closed the gap with a five-point showing to sit seventh (28).
Ball Busters was the only team to earn the maximum six points—the second-straight week they’ve done so—to vault into an eight-place tie at 23 points with Bump It Up, who collected three points.
SMASH also had a three-point night to stay in 10th (16).
I’d Hit That notched three points, as well, to remain one point back of SMASH in 11th (15).
And Kiss My Ace was blanked for the second-straight week—and the eighth time this season—to stay in last place (three points).
Action resumes tonight at 7 p.m. at Fort High and St. Michael’s.
