Not a drill
A firefighter manned one of several hoses used to water down a single rail car containing hydrogen peroxide which had tipped over early Friday afternoon, causing the chemical to leak at the mill railyard. The vicinity had to be closed to traffic for most of the weekend. The incident was resolved by early Sunday afternoon, with no effects to the public or the environment. Ironically, a mock emergency is being planned for next Tuesday on Fourth Street West near the old CN station.
